Sega Has 4 new Games Under Development
Sega believes to have struck gold with the conclusion of a new deal with PlatinumGames. The independent studio was formed by former Capcom staff, with hit titles like Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Steel Battalion in their portfolio.
According to Sega, 4 news games are already in the making: one is scheduled to hit the Nintendo Wii, the second is for the DS, the third is aimed at the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The fourth one hasn’t even got a title, only a powerful name behind it: Shinji Mikami the creator of Resident Evil.
Madworld (Wii) will feature a unique black and white style depicting an incredibly sharp backdrop that straddles graphic novels and 3D worlds. Irreverent humor and over-the-top violence.
Infinite Line (DS) stretches the DS hardware to the limit, offering over 200 characters and the ability to control multiple spaceships at any one time. One of the most complex RPG titles developed for the DS to date.
Bayonetta (PS3, X360) is the creation of Hideki Kamiya (Devil May Cry) and is described as a stylish and cinematic action game, with “magnificent over-the-top action taking place in stages that are a veritable theme park of exciting attractions”.
